The pine is locally sourced, usually from the removal of old pine plantations to make way for the regeneration of indiginous flora and fauna. It is treated to specific SABS standards making it very durable- if maintained correctly, wooden wendy house structures will, and do, last for many years.
All this makes using wooden boards for the cladding or a timber framed structure incredibly cost effective and sustainable, though some maintainence will be involved- it certainly isn't as forgiving as Nutec in that regard.

Treated pine boards are only a cladding. They are there to keep the weather out, not to create strength and rigidity. All the strength and rigidity comes from our timber frame construction process.
SABS and local building regulations are very clear on the minimum required standards for building a timber framed structure suitable for pine cladding, and we take those as our minimum requirements when building. These range from the correct treated timbers to use, thickness of materials, and the spacing of things like joists and roof beams.
Mainly, frames are made using locally sourced treated pine timber. Properly erected and clad these structures are proven to be incredibly durable and long lasting. However, if required we can also build frames from locally sourced hardwoods such as Saligna.
